Mark Evans Band
2020 was off to a great start with the boys playing sold out February shows opening for Micky Dolenz of the Monkees, and set to play Liverpool’s world famous Cavern Club in May as part IPO 2020). Then Covid hit, and everything shut down. Gone was the return engagement at Chaplin's in Spring City, the Eagleview Concert Series, and all the other gigs they had brewing...
But, they had started to record a new album just before the shutdown, and had rhythm tracks for a few of the new tunes already in the can. Going in to overdub and mix has been more challenging then in the past, but they plan to have a new single ready to release soon.
Backed by a rhythm section of Philly stalwarts, Roy Fisher (bass), Jeff Pancoast (drums), and Grammy winner Pat Robinson (keyboards), the band is looking forward to the day that music halls will once again come to life with the sound of live music.
With all that has gone wrong in 2020, the band is working hard to keep the music alive, and help reimagine what live music will look, feel, and sound like in the coming months... Stay tuned for more!!!

"The album's cover art even depicts the underside of a carousel roof as a record. Inside are pop/rock songs that sound like they could have been released between 1966 and 1973." BRIAN BINGAMAN
